A century of experience.

In 1911 Linthorst Koelhuis & Ijsfabrieken (cool storage and ice factory) was started in Deventer. When its buildings were destroyed during the Second World War, the company moved to Breda (1951). Thanks to the important vegetable and cattle businesses in that region, demand for freezing and cold storage grew rapidly.

In the sixties, the name of the company was changed into Nemijtek, short for "Nederlandse Maatschappij tot Exploitatie van Koelhuizen en Ijsfabrieken" (Dutch company for the exploitation of cool storage and ice factories). At the end of the eighties the company was taken over by the Vriesveem group. Since its start the knowledge of the cold storage business and the package of services has evolved considerably.
